City of Williams
Williams is located about 30 minutes west of Flagstaff. Williams is a great little town that has a comfortable, quaint feel. The city only has about 3,000 people living there and the total size of the city is 43.5 square miles. There is currently several areas that are being developed with new homes, meanwhile in downtown Williams there are many homes that were built over 100 years ago.
Williams was founded in 1876 as a Railroad town. Today it is home to the beginning of the Grand Canyon Railway which makes daily trips to the Grand Canyon via a scenic train ride. Near Williams there are many outdoor activities to enjoy including trout fishing, hunting, hiking, and sight seeing. Williams does have enough shopping to keep you happy, meanwhile Flagstaff is only a short drive on the interstate to get to most major shopping.
